The NRG Soiling Performance Kit is a complete solution designed to accurately quantify the impact of soiling on solar project performance. Designed for reliability in the most demanding conditions, the Soiling Performance Kit helps solar energy professionals to assess and manage soiling losses effectively and with confidence. Its easy deployment enables efficient and accurate measurements from distributed stations, making it valuable for larger PV plants, where soiling rates can vary across different areas of the site.
This comprehensive solution pairs the NRG Soiling Measurement Kit – compatible with both thin-film and crystalline solar modules and including a Pulsed Soiling Module (PSM1), NRG PVT1 PV Temperature Sensors, and a solar maintenance button – with the LOGR | Solar Data Logger, the NRG R2 Class A Pyranometer, and a dedicated power supply for continuous AC power. Together, these components provide a rich dataset for effectively monitoring soiling impact and overall plant performance.
Key measurements recorded by the LOGR | Solar Data Logger include short-circuit current, open circuit voltage, back-of-module temperature, effective irradiance, soiling ratio, and daily soiling-loss index. These measurements are accessible on-site site via Modbus or remotely through NRG Cloud, enabling seamless data retrieval and analysis. With NRG’s bankable measurements, solar professionals can ensure precise performance monitoring and optimize plant operations with confidence.
The Soiling Performance Kit is designed to be deployed alongside the NRG Flare SRM System but can also be installed as a standalone solution, making it a flexible choice for any project.
