Configuration Options

NRG Systems’ next generation Soiling Measurement Kit offers IEC 61724-compliant performance and maximum flexibility to accommodate a range of PV panel types and sizes.

The NRG Soiling Measurement Kit provides users with the critical information needed to accurately and reliably quantify the site-specific impacts of soiling caused by dust, snow, and other particles on prospective as well as operating PV projects. Pre-construction, these data are used to improve production loss estimates due to soiling in annual energy production (AEP) estimates. On operating PV plants, they are needed to monitor actual production impacts due to soiling and inform effective maintenance schedules (i.e., module washing) and forecast models.

The NRG Soiling Measurement Kit includes a Pulsed Soiling Module (PSM1) that maintains PV module integrity by pulsing measurements and holding modules in appropriate electrical states between measurements, as well as NRG PVT1 PV Temperature Sensors and a solar maintenance button for capturing data post-panel cleaning. For a fully turnkey deployment, a kit can be paired with an NRG R2 Pyranometer and/or a LOGR|Solar Data Logger or SymphoniePRO Data Logger (depending on application). Compatible with both crystalline (high current) and thin film (high voltage) PV modules, the NRG Soiling Measurement Kit captures short circuit current, open circuit voltage, and back-of-module temperature with user’s choice of statistical interval.

The Soiling Measurement Kit is designed to integrate with NRG’s FLARE SRA and SRM Systems but can easily be installed as a standalone kit, making it an ideal choice for any project.
