Explanation: why the Symphonie vane channel scale is 0.351 degrees / count...

The vane uses a potentiometer which always returns a certain percentage of the excitation voltage that is proportional to the wind vane tail position. The transfer function of 0.351 is determined by the following:

0 to 359 degrees can be represented as 0 to 2.5 V of input with a 2.5 V excitation applied.

The Symphonie A/D converter is 10 bit, allowing values from 0 to 1023...0 V of input corresponds to the count value of 0 and 2.5 V of input corresponds to the count value of 1023.

359/1023 = 0.351 degrees / count
