Erasing DataChips

The EE Reader is the only way to completely erase the DataChips and make them blank (contents of each and every byte=FF"). Below are two scenarios to look over. 1) When you press "Erase" on the EE Reader, it goes through every location in each DataChip and erases it to "FF". When it is done, you have completely blank DataChips. 2) When you press the "Start" button on a logger, the header of the DataChip is overwritten right away. As each interval is recorded, it is placed in the next available location of the DataChip, overwriting the old data locations at the end of each interval one at a time as needed. The logger has no idea if it is writing into a blank DataChip or one which contains data. The user must be careful in this regard. NRG recommends that you always install erased DataChips.
