In renewable energy, data is the foundation of every decision. Whether you are evaluating a site for a potential project, optimizing system performance, or ensuring compliance with industry standards, the quality and accessibility of your data makes all the difference.

That is why NRG developed LOGR | Met – a next-generation data logger designed to meet the growing demands of wind and solar resource measurement. What makes it “next-generation”? LOGR | Met builds on decades of experience in logger design and manufacturing, including NRG’s LOGR | Solar Data Logger and Symphonie family – most notably, SymphoniePRO®, which has been deployed on more than 30,000 wind and solar sites worldwide.

While every NRG logger delivers reliable measurements, industry-leading ease of use, and seamless NRG Cloud integration, LOGR | Met sets a new standard in resource measurement. Shaped by input from the world’s leading developers and feedback from the field, it combines unmatched flexibility with intuitive usability – redefining what is possible in wind and solar resource assessment and monitoring.

A VERSATILE PLATFORM FOR WIND AND SOLAR

LOGR | Met is engineered to support both wind and solar applications, making it a powerful tool for hybrid sites and teams managing diverse portfolios. It builds on the legacy of SymphoniePRO and LOGR | Solar, expanding capabilities with more flexible sampling rates, greater channel capacity, and enhanced security – all in a compact, DIN rail-mountable form factor.

With support for analog, digital, and counter sensors, LOGR | Met accommodates the widest range of industry-standard instruments of any NRG data logger. It offers up to 48 serial channels, 16 analog channels, and 10 counter channels – enabling robust, consolidated measurement from a single device.

This expanded channel capacity is designed to meet the growing complexity of modern wind and solar resource measurement. In solar applications, the latest serial sensors are not only more sophisticated but often include built-in diagnostics. LOGR | Met allows users to fully leverage these capabilities, delivering deeper insights into system performance and sensor health.

Measurement systems themselves are also becoming more advanced, with an increasing number of sensors deployed to capture site-specific environmental conditions. In wind applications, taller turbines are driving the need for more pre-construction measurement levels. LOGR | Met makes it easy to support these sensor-dense configurations without the need for multiple devices or custom setups.

For organizations seeking a single, scalable solution that can handle both solar and wind measurement campaigns, LOGR | Met stands out as the flagship, bringing unmatched versatility, capacity, and long-term adaptability.

FLEXIBLE DATA LOGGING AND INTEGRATION

LOGR | Met captures data every second and averages it into user-defined intervals of 1, 5, or 10 minutes. Data is stored locally on a microSD card and can be exported via SFTP, SMTP, or NRG Cloud. LOGR | Met also supports Modbus TCP/RTU for seamless integration with SCADA systems.

To ensure compatibility with industry expectations, LOGR | Met conforms to IEC 61724-1 for solar applications and IEC 61400-12 for wind – giving users the confidence that their data meets recognized standards for bankability and reporting.

SECURITY YOU CAN COUNT ON

LOGR | Met is designed with data integrity and system security at its core. A secure, browser-based interface uses HTTPS encryption to protect communication during both local and remote access. User authentication is required, and access credentials can be tailored to meet your organization’s security policies.

In the event of communication loss, encrypted data remains safely stored on the device’s microSD card. And with support for secure file transfer protocols like SFTP and SMTP, your data can be delivered reliably – no matter the network environment.

CONNECTIVITY THAT WORKS WHERE YOU DO

One of LOGR | Met’s most significant advancements is its connectivity. Dual Ethernet ports, built-in Wi-Fi, and optional LTE with GPS make it easy to access and configure the system from virtually anywhere. No proprietary software is required – just a browser. This is particularly valuable for remote or hard-to-access sites, where minimizing field time and maintaining reliable communication is essential.

Through NRG Cloud, users can remotely update firmware and make configuration changes without visiting the site, ensuring your data and your system stay current and secure.

Looking ahead, we are expanding secure access and connectivity even further. Updates to the NRG Mobile App will allow users to connect directly to LOGR | Met via its built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, making field configuration faster and more convenient than ever.

SMARTER POWER MANAGEMENT

To support continuous operation in any environment, LOGR | Met includes an integrated MPPT charge controller and supports multiple power inputs, including DC, PV, and battery. It automatically manages power sources to maintain uptime, even in off-grid environments.

Intelligent power-saving features reduce consumption during periods of inactivity, helping extend battery life in autonomous deployments and reducing maintenance needs.

DESIGNED FOR THE FIELD

We understand that true reliability goes beyond hardware – it is about how easily a solution fits into your workflow. LOGR | Met features removable terminal blocks and clearly labeled ports, along with a user-friendly web interface that provides live sensor feedback. These details streamline installation, simplify troubleshooting, and reduce time spent on site.

A PLATFORM YOU CAN BUILD ON

LOGR | Met is more than a data logger – it is a platform designed to evolve with your project needs. With support for calculated channels, sensor heater control, and flexible communication options, it is ready to adapt to new requirements, applications, and technologies as they emerge.

LOGR | Met represents the next step in NRG’s commitment to providing reliable, easy-to-use solutions for wind and solar resource measurement. Whether you are launching a pre-construction measurement campaign or optimizing operational performance, LOGR | Met delivers the versatility, reliability, and peace of mind you need to succeed.
