What is MetLink?

MetLink is a bidirectional communication interface built by NRG upon which various SymphoniePRO features are enabled. That is, MetLink allows a SymphoniePRO system to communicate with a PC over a variety of transports including 2G GSM (GPRS), 3G GSM (HSPA), CDMA, Ethernet, RS-232, and USB. Once a MetLink connection is established over one of those transports to a SymphoniePRO data logger, that connection allows the user to change settings, apply firmware updates, or download meteorological and diagnostic data.

It is important that users familiarize themselves with MetLink and choose a communication scheme that best works with their business requirements. See Appendix C of the SymphoniePRO Data Logger Manual for more information.
