Recommended offset distance for an NRG side mount boom
On a tubular (NRG) tower, it is recommended that the offset distance of the side mount boom be at least 7 tower diameters out from the tower. For a 40m or 50m NRG tower the tower diameter is 6 inches. For XHD towers the diameters are 10" and 8".
Example:
For 40m and 50m NRG TallTowers:
- 6 inches x 7 = 42 inches in length
For 50m and 60m XHD TallTowers:
- 8 inches x 7 = 56 inches in length
- 10 inches x 7 = 70 inches in length
