FAQs

What are the main differences between the Class 1 Anemometer and the 40C Anemometer?

Primary differences between the two sensors are threshold, inertia, and distance constant. In order to obtain Class 1 compliance, the Rulon bearings currently found in the 40C Anemometer have been replaced with a new design that includes a ball-bearing cartridge. The new patent pending ball-bearing design provides comparable variance and consistency in data as compared with other leading Class 1 Anemometers, at a much more economical price. In addition to being an important element towards meeting Class 1 compliance, the design also offers exceptional dust protection and strength.
