Using a long cable with a 200P wind vane

We have tested the #200P with cables up to 1525m (5000 ft.). While there is no degradation of signal strength or sensor accuracy, longer cables always increase the risk of electrical noise.

Splice points should be carefully covered in heat shrink tubing or high quality electrical tape appropriate for outdoor use. In electrically noisy environments, long cables should be avoided.
