NRG HD Boom Descriptions - IPT, IMC
You may have noticed that some NRG HD boom descriptions specify "IPT" and others specify "IMC".
What is the difference?
IPT stands for "Iron Pipe Tapered" and describes the type of thread used on the boom.
IMC stands for "Intermediate Metal Conduit" and describes the material used in the boom.
Notes:
All NRG HD booms currently use IPT threading (including the IMC booms).
The NRG 3/4 inch diameter booms are made of schedule 40 water pipe.
