FAQs

How should I install the sensor boot to keep out water?

When installing #40C/#40H anemometers or 200P wind vanes it is important to use the included PVC boot. This ensures that the sensor will perform as designed, and helps to protect the terminals.

To keep water out, put a single wrap of weather-rated tape around the top of the boot and sensor; just be sure the tape doesn't interfere with the sensors rotating head.

Do not put tape around the bottom of the boot as it should be allowed to drain.
