Case Study: Meeting Vietnam’s Solar Monitoring Requirements with NRG Solar Solutions

In 2017, the Vietnamese government issued a requirement that to obtain a commercial operation permit, solar plants producing 30 MW or higher must have a met station on-site, to ensure accurate measurement of available energy. VREE, a solar EPC based in Vietnam, teamed up with Digi Technologies, a Vietnamese supplier of solar energy equipment, to create a monitoring solution to satisfy this requirement. The configuration included NRG’s SymphoniePRO Data Logger, iPackACCESS communications module, and a variety of NRG meteorological sensors as well as third-party sensors. These products were selected for their superior ease of use and ability to withstand Vietnam’s challenging weather and site conditions.
