NRG #40 anemometer on a non-NRG data logger cannot register a reading
Perhaps the logger cannot register the low-level AC output of the #40 at very low wind speeds. Try increasing the logger's sensitivity if it has such a control. NRG also manufactures sensor interface modules to make the #40 compatible with a wider range of equipment.
The "Speed Amp" - item 2041- turns the sinusoidal signal produced by the #40C into a 10Vpp square wave.
The "Speed Interface" - item 2052 - turns the sinusoidal signal produced by the #40C into a analog signal proportional to wind speed (0 - 5VDC).
