The NRG Systems Ultrasonic Wind Sensor RT20 is an ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor that provides reliable wind turbine control of onshore turbines or wind resource assessment. A 20-watt heater ensures operation in climates where significant icing is not a concern.

The Ultrasonic Wind Sensor RT20 signal output is factory-configured to customer specifications for easy integration with most wind turbine controllers. The sensor’s compact aluminum and polycarbonate enclosure is easily installed to provide instantaneous and accurate measurement of wind speed and direction. The Ultrasonic Wind Sensor RT20 has no moving parts for minimal maintenance.

The Ultrasonic Wind Sensor RT20 is rated for a maximum speed of 75 m/s (168 mph) and has a measuring range of 0° to 359.9°.
