The NRG Systems IceFree Ultrasonic Wind Sensor RT240 is an ultrasonic wind speed and direction sensor that provides reliable onshore and offshore wind turbine control. A 240-watt heater ensures operation in all weather conditions, including ice and snow.

The IceFree Ultrasonic Wind Sensor RT240 signal output is factory-configured to customer specifications for easy integration with most wind turbine controllers. The sensor’s compact enclosure of rugged aluminum is easily installed to provide instantaneous and accurate measurement of wind speed and direction. The IceFree Ultrasonic Wind Sensor RT240 has no moving parts for minimal maintenance.

The IceFree Ultrasonic Wind Sensor RT240 is rated for a maximum speed of 75 m/s (168 mph) and has a measuring range of 0° to 359.9°.
