The 50-meter XHD NRG TallTower is a highly versatile meteorological tower designed specifically for wind resource measurements. In wind energy applications where anemometers and direction vanes are typically installed at wind turbine hub heights, the tilt-up 50m XHD heavy duty TallTower system is the best alternative to expensive, labor-intensive lattice towers. Superior design and sturdy galvanized steel tube construction make NRG TallTowers reliable in extreme conditions yet easy to transport to remote sites. Tower tube sections slide together then tilt up from the ground with a ginpole and winch. NRG TallTowers are supported with aircraft cable guy wires in four directions at each guy level. Guy wires are anchored with standard screw-in anchors (other anchor types are available for various soil conditions). No cranes or concrete foundations are required. This kit includes steel baseplate, pre-measured guy wires on spools, screw-in anchors, necessary hardware for assembly, and instructions. An installation kit including ginpole and winch is sold separately and required for installation of NRG TallTowers. To prevent the spread of pests, all our wooden pallets and packaging are heat treated to ISPM No. 15, and safe to ship world-wide.
