The Programming and Voice Call Kit is used to perform voice calls through Symphonie data loggers equipped with Symphonie iPack, and also to program iPacks through the iPack Access port found on our latest Symphonie loggers.
The Headset Programming Adaptor (HPA) allows the user to plug a headset and DB9 programming cable into Symphonie. Once plugged in (see iPack voice call compatibility note below), the user can enter a phone number using the Symphonie keypad and place a voice call to check cellular service and quality.
Additionally, a computer equipped with a COM or *USB port running SDR software can be plugged into Symphonie to check or reconfigure iPack settings - without having to remove the logger and iPack from the tower.
*As of May 2007, a USB to RS232 converter is included to adapt the DB9 cable to computers equipped with only a USB port.
