Understanding the vertical component of wind velocity is becoming increasingly important to both wind farm developers and wind turbine manufacturers.

The RM Young 27106T Vertical Propeller Anemometer is a precision air speed measurement instrument designed to meet this need. This dynamic sensor is capable of measuring air flow velocity from any direction.  However, the vertical propeller anemometer responds specifically to the component of air flow which is parallel to the axis of its rotation.

The RM Young 27106T Vertical Propeller Anemometer interfaces with the NRG Systems Symphonie Data Logger using a Signal Conditioning Module (SCM) designed to accommodate the output signal of this sensor.  An HD single-sided 76", 3/4" IPT mounting boom and a two-conductor sensor cable (of appropriate length) are required to mount the sensor to an NRG Systems XHD TallTower.
