NRG Systems Unveils New Wind Assessment Products
|
|
Hinesburg, Vermont (USA)
—NRG Systems, the
global leader in wind assessment technology, introduced new products at
the 2004 Global WindPower Conference held in Chicago. The products
included new heated sensors, enhanced Symphonie iPacksTM, and the
WindWatcherTM performance monitor designed for small wind turbines.
The
new heated sensors, developed in response to customer requests for
turbine control in extreme icing conditions, are hotter than NRG’s
popular IceFreeII models, yet require no significant additional power
to reach the higher temperature. The new sensors are backward
compatible with prior models of IceFree sensors already installed.
NRG
Systems was the first in the wind industry to offer an internet-enabled
data logger with SymphonieTM. Used in conjunction with a Symphonie data
logger, the new Symphonie iPacks enable users to have their wind data
delivered right to their desktops from anywhere in the world. The
enhanced iPacks now include communication modules for satellite and
cellular (DoCoMo and CDMA) technologies.
NRG Systems’
WindWatcherTM performance monitor measures wind speed, gusts and power
density, providing a complete assessment for small turbines.
WindWatcher requires no software or computer connection. All statistics
are continuously updated and instantly accessible. The unit stores one
year’s worth of data, allowing for historical comparisons and
verification of small turbine performance.
NRG Systems
manufactures assessment products and systems exclusively for the wind
industry. David Blittersdorf, company president and CEO, said,
"Accurate, reliable data is the lifeblood of our industry…Our customers
know they can depend on us to deliver precise and reliable products."
